It's an Animal- the third dyson we've had, and I'm really beginning to think they aren't all they're cracked up to be.
Someone said a Philips one was good, or a Miele?
A;lso - dh likes upright, and I quite like cylinder because i remeber a vax I had years ago and it was really good.

I posted almost exactly the same thread a few weeks ago!! Our Dyson animal gave up the ghost and, based on advice I got on here, I replaced it with a miele cat and dog. I am liking it- it is very powerful, and effective. Does take a bit of getting used to after having an upright for many years, but on the whole I like it. However, we are already on our 2nd hoover bag after only 4 weeks . We have 3 dc, 5 and under, who are VERY messy, and 2 dogs. I've heard you can get the bags quite cheaply online, though.

Henry Xtra, the one with the airo attachment. I have a golden ret./lab cross and three cats (as well as dts) it copes with them all. And the airo attachment sooks up the hair off the rugs and carpets brilliantly.

I have got a Dyson and not very impressed with it. I really miss my ordinary red Henry.

cheaper than a Dyson and sucked up anything from cat hair to stones and rubble.

Secretly wish the Dyson would die - shhhh!
