We bought a lovely new lamp just before Christmas, and the shop said oh yes, just go and get a clip-on shade from John Lewis. Well, JL shades are horrible - all chinzy and fussy. I've googled and looked in the obvious places (Ikea, Habitat, Heals) and I can't see anything even vaguely right.
Any ideas anyone? I'm after a small (3 inches at the top, max 6 at the bottom) plain cream cotton/paper shade, competely unfrilled and simple, but it needs to clip to a golf-ball bulb (like a chandelier lampshade would).
Help, it's so sad to have a beautiful new lamp and no way of using it!
