Brilliant.

Get one - it's the gadget of the year according to the gadget show on Five

SnowballsintheSky · 28/12/2008 17:06

Love it. Get it, you won't be disappointed. I think the iPhone has been responsible for much MNetting from strange places...

They are fab.
If you have a wireless router you can internet anywhere in the house with it, and watch Youtube, iplayer etc.
You can also access the App Store and itunes from it.
My fave app is the "Air Mouse" which turns the iphone into a remote mouse for your pc - VERY handy if you are pinned to the sofa by a sleeping baby who wakes if put down.

Love it....you def need to play around with it and get used to it tho...I was indifferent at first but now I've found my way around it and can add my 'fave' applications, it's more user friendly for me. Very handy not having to cart a separate ipod around - also for the times, when I used to forget my ipod too....especially during the sales, I can stick my earphones on and shut the world [and the annoying other shoppers!] out

I love mine. It has truly saved my bacon in the last couple of weeks since my pc died. I am waiting till I have time when my parents come over before buying a new computer.

Thankfully I had all my favourites, contacts, calender etc from Outlook synchronized with the iPhone so did not lose all my data.

I have been MNetting on the iPhone since.

And DH doesn't always know that I am on MN

Thanks.

I asked Father Christams for a simle to use mobile phone for Christmas because I'm not good at technology.

He must have got my letter mixed up with someone else's because I received an iphone and I was wavering over asking for the receipt to return it as being beyond me. (overlooking the fact that I asked for a very simple phone and got "the gadget of the year" instead)

Warning - ungrateful aside coming up ......

Why do some people buy what they would like instead of what has been requested ?

Once it is set up it is actually very simple to use. Get someone to help you with the connecting it to wifi and email options if need be. Don't exchange it.

My PILs are visiting for 5 days. I am planning on hiding in the laundry room to MN do the ironing.

sitdownpleasegeorge · 02/01/2009 12:57

God, I so wish I had a "laundry room" - even a common or garden "utility room", somewhere to leave the ironing board and mountain of unironed clothes
