Can we talk irons please ...

Specifically the steam generator type irons . Are they any good, worth the ££ and do they really make your ironing time faster? Okay, if the answer is yes to all of that, what brand, type, model etc is best? Have some money to spend from Christmas and might put it towards one. TIA

I've got a philips steam generator, and I have to say it is better than a regular iron, ironing is faster, it does fill the room up with steam tho, which can be a problem if you wear glasses..... I hate ironing but it cuts down ironing time and is kind of fun I suppose
