Im buying a pack of nappies in our monthly shop to spread the cost when our bubs finally arrives, but i dont want too many in same (small) size so i thought id ask for your advice...
Obviously it depends on size of baby which at this stage i have no idea if will be a porker or not!!!
Ive been looking at weights on pack as general guide but still dont have much of an idea...

Approx how many packs of the newborn size 1 and newborn size 2 should i need?

Thanks in advance for all your help and info..

It's hard to say exactly how many you need but what I would say is dont buy too many size 1 because they outgrow these very quickly. Can you save the money instead once you have bought maybe 3 or 4 packs of each size to get you started?

my dd2 weighed 8lb when she was born and outgrew the size 1 Pampers after 5wks. this was also before she reached the upper weight stated on the pack but I could see that they were getting a bit small.

I think I used approx 6 packs of the size 1 and she is now 11wks and has just moved onto the size 3s, again before she has reached the upper weight! I reckon about 7-8 packs of size 2s.

I agree with sowhat - save your money and just get a couple of packs of size 1s to get you started.

It depends on how big your babe is when born, how many dirty nappies a day you get through and how quick he/she grows!

I also wouldn't stock up- you might find you don't get on with a particular brand. Fwiw, ds was only in size 1 for one packs worth anyway, he was 8lb 9oz

Yes I did the same, moving DD onto the next size up before she reached the upper weight because they were getting tight around her thighs.

Wellbalanced, you will notice there is an overlap in the weights on the packs anyway.

Thanks for your replies, ive used (as a nanny) all kinds of brands and have my likes and dislikes already. Ive got size 1s, 2s and 3s in small quantity (2-3 packs of each) so ill maybe stop now. Thanks..
