inset stove as opposed to woodburner anyone got one?

have been told we cannot have woodburner and this is alternative

what's the difference between a woodburner and an inset?

we have an inset thingy - only because we had a biggish fireplace and mantelpiece. It's fantastic.... a hundred times more efficient than an open fire.

inset is apparently just a firebox
no air circulates around it like a woodburner

well, we have three vents on the chimney breast which emit warm air. I know someone who manages to heat the water for their underfloor heating with it...also an inset.

I guess a woodburner can fit into a hearth without being built-in as such, but sometimes they just sit in the corner of a room don't they? ....more rustic-like?

ours is a bit like this one the one called HETA. It's kind of raised off the floor with space for wood underneath it

Can't remember how much we paid, twas nearly ten years ago -when we were building the house.
