dd is 17 months and we have tried so many diferent cups for her. she was solely bf till 6 months and then had water from a cup since. hard spouts she chews and cannot seem to suck water up. she likes the tommee tippee nuby handled cup but it leaks, she liked the tommee tippee nuby sportster but has bitten through the valve so it pours out, i got her the amadeus and it is too hard to suck and today i bought the amadeus 360 that she can drink from all around the top, she loves it but it leaks.
what is the best cup?

have you tried an open beaker?

some people swear by the doidy cup

she can drink from an open cup if i hold it, same with the doidy, but she would spill/drop it if i left her to it.
i want one i can take out in her bag too.

have you tried a sports cup - doesnt have to be a special kids one as long as it is small. DS also likes his cup with an integral straw - the lid folds over the straw so it doesnt leak when taken out and about. Tesco do their own make straw cup which is freeflowing and tommee tippee do one that is non-spill - ds has the tesco one.

she had the tommee tippee sportster, like a soft straw that didn't leak, but she chewed it and broke the valve. is the tesco one a hard straw that can't break. do they all leak when thrown on floor.

no it is a soft straw too but has no valve to break. TBH I snipped the valve in the tommee tippee one that dd had as it was too hard to suck from. Freeflowing ones are better for the teeth (if a bit messier!)

i am fed up of water leaking everywhere, on the carpet where she has put it down on it's side or in the bag when we are out.
