Any advise would be great have'nt got a clue about cars, I currently have a citreon berlingo which has been a fantastic.

Only trouble is now pregnant with twins so need min of a 7 seater with 8 being better as I can have the odd child home for tea ect.

other problem is can't stretch more that 6000

So will probably have to be a pretty old

Glad you put this thread up I want an 8/9 seater too that won't break the bank and has boot space!!! My DH thinks I'm obsessed with boot space

i have a vw caravelle. its fantastic for space in the cabin and boot. back seat moves back and forwards depending on needs. you can even take middle seats right out and move back forward and fit a small quad bike in the back.

keep an eagle eye out for second hand caravelles is my tip.

Me too

I annoys me that I will have to get a 2l (plus) when I rarely go over 50mph (usually about 30)

Made the fatal mistake of getting a Zafira, can blame DH as I was in hospital with DD4 and there is NO boot space, I hate it! VW Caravelle is a great plan but hard to find where we are, would have to drive south to find a good second hand one!

LargeGlassofRed · 10/12/2008 20:13

ooh I like the look of the vw caravelle

interior space well laid out in caravelle too. there are drawers under the seats in the back which i can use to carry a stock of toys, books, snacks and nappy changing stuff. theres a table for eating lunch on cold days at the seaside... tis great.
