Which toy castle have you bought?

ds 1 (now 6) suddenly announced he would like a castle for xmas. has a little bro of 3 and also a baby brother of 7monthssibling so Id like something sturdy and maybe to put away as well (as long as not too tricky or flimsy). Looking at elc ones at moment and wondered if anyone had one or could recommend another over them? Ta!

Friend's ds (6) has the elc one. He loves it and plays with it loads. Has the dragons and knights and whatnot and is really into it. I think he's had it about a year and it looks to be in good nick still (he has siblings more or less same ages as your other boys). He gives me a guided tour every time I visit

My DB bought a set of a castle and a pirate ship for DS1 last year from Argos.

The castle is fairly sturdy (not too many fiddly bits) but also comes apart easily to put away.

Any use? Not sure if they have them this year.

My ds has a papo le van toy castle and knights - expensive but fabulous with loads of collectable add on bits

I've bought the Argos one after MASSES of internet research! My ds' best friend has it, and he is a bit of a nightmare child in some ways, so if it can survive him for a year or more it must be tough! Also by far the best value. I bought some of the Papo figures to go with it (from a website called Toys n Fun which was the cheapest), as ds is really into King Arthur and I wanted a Merlin, and proper looking princess (I got the blue medieval lady) not some disney looking blond. Also a prince on horseback!
