non-pink tea/dinner set - do they exist?

our most played-with toy over the past 6 years is an elc tea set which came all packed in a bag with plates, cutlery and plastic food. it's slightly pink but not enough to bother any boys we've had to play who like it as much as my girls do.

so i'm looking for the same kind of thing for friends' kids and can't find it anywhere except elc (although the dinner set no longer comes with food so you have to get it separately) BUT they're out of stock online and in local shops

anyone seen anything along these lines on their travels?

The elc one in the box is really nice, I nearly bought one for ds2 recently. Gowi do one for about £5 on a tray from toys direct which is quite gender neutral. You could buy a small kids suitcase to put it in from letterbox etc.

Glad to help
Cant believe you have never heard of Smyths...my kids fave shop

Arianrhod · 09/01/2009 21:52

Can I just thread-nap here please ... I'm looking for exactly the same, and I'd LOVE to buy that 60 piece tea set from Smyths ... but I don't live in Ireland, and as far as I can see from their website I can't buy it online! Does anyone know of a Smyths in the UK that I could telephone to ask them to send me a set please??

thanks

We have the 3rd one (toys r us) and I have to say DD loves it- plays with it so much!

My Ds hasthis one, which he loves, especially the little glasses.

I think it's important that they can hold liquid for playing at tea parties.
