Toys for a newly-crawling baby?

ds is 6 months and has just started crawling. He can't sit up unaided, but seems to be frustrated by most of his toys. I am thinking maybe something he can chase along or alternatively will keep him still for 5 minutes! He has outgrown his playnest, which he was very happy to sit and play in, but he started being able to launch himself out of it headfirst Big or small suggestions welcome as his Christmas haul is looking very sad next to dd's

We just bought our DS this for Christmas and he will be just 21 weeks around then. I spoke to a lady who had bought it for her daughter and she said she used it from when her DD was sitting till now when she is walking and can chase it around the room. You can buy some animals individually for them too, i've even seen them in Tesco.

The DCs had a ball shaped toy that made noises if it was pushed around. DH and I both swore it said 'Oy vey'.

There was also a ball by VTech that played different tunes and said words if buttons were pressed on it.

To be honest Christmas presents at 6 months old were mostly clothes in our house, and they didn't seem to mind.

DS had that inflatable rolling thing that Nappyaddict has linked to, as well. He loved it, plus we got a soft ball that jingled, which he still loves to kick around
