Hello everyone, I have a stokke tripp trapp and bought the old "high back" babyset as preferred the look of it.My daughter who is 2 still has the high back on, though I have removed the baby rail.
Has anyone else just left the high back on permanently or have you all removed it?
I wrote to Stokke who said they didnt have any particular recommendations about it.Just wondering cause if we plan for another baby, I was thinking I should buy up another old type backrest before they get sold.Just planning ahead!

My oldest is nearly 8, the high back has not moved (even though we have the low back stored away) and it is now coming in useful for the baby! Don't think the other bit is necessary at all.

Oh thanks, thats good to knwo.I just prefer the old back and how it looks and I think I will buy another one for future use!
I dont know why they changed it to be honest.

We have a new model where you add a high back and fix in place with the baby rail, sadly 9mo is too big to get in and out with the back on so we have the 2 slats in the back and the rail on, a pain as she arches back over it even tho we have lowered the seat height, which isn't so good at the table now, she also uses a full safety harness.

Matnanplus, I also bought the newer baby back-its plastic isnt it? but actually I didnt like it and found the old high back better. You can actually buy old high backs on ebay-I got mine from www.backinaction.co.uk and they are selling some old ones off in their clearance.I also found the newer baby back to be a problem as she could fling her head backwards, wasnt so much of a problem with the higher back.Once she had hit her head a few times she learned her lesson! You can also buy the old cushions though if you want to save her head!

It is more that she is a chub Daffyd.

Thank you for the suggestion of BackInAction but i am hoping she will cease and desist in the near future as she has bumped her head on the wall twice today and it gave her pause for thought that is for sure!
