Advice on how to undo straps on Maclaren Techno XT to fit a cosy toes?

Following my thread earlier today when I was trying to fit a cosy toes to our Maclaren, but had to go out for a walk before I threw the whole thing out the window in frustration...

I think I've isolated my problem. I think I have to take the waist straps out the buckle which joins them to the chest straps (if that makes sense) in order to thread both chest straps and waist straps through the slots in the cosy toes before threading the strap back through the buckle. Is this right???

If it is right, the trouble is the end of the strap is folded and stitched up and I can't seem to squeeze it out the buckle. Am I doing something wrong? Can anyone help me before I get to the window chucking stage again?

Thanks very much for any help!

let me go look at mine.. I do recall there was some waggling to get straps thorugh the hole but is easier next time you do it

chest straps unclip from waist straps.

Have you unclipped them?

I think I just took chest straps off and wiggled the snuggle down (its not on this pushchair so can't remember exactly).. it took a bit of gently wiggling but worked in end - also had to be quite careful not to wiggle it so you couldnt get waist strap fastened without twisting

can't see how chest straps unclip from waist straps... could it be different model? or just me mad (quite possible...)

and not sure how to take chest straps off either holly.

oh, thank you for trying to help, but i fear i'm none the wiser.

I did this the other night.
chest straps unclip from waist straps by unfastening (ie pushing down and opening) the swivel hook
If you're a weakling like me, you have to push quite hard to open

AHHH! Just got it! Thank you thank you thank you.

Feel bit stupid now, but it is very well disguised. Nothing like the pics in your link! Knew there must be an easier way...

Thanks again, I can rest at last
