I have a newborn and 2.5 yr old. want to get a buggy board as dont have double pram plus ds wouldnt use it. Think a buggy board is what i need for next few months when i pop out and ds1 is dragging his heels.

Do they actually screw on or just clip on? Ive seen people can fold them up when not in use but can you still fold up the pram with them on? I have a gracco travel system...

Also are there any that are better than others or all the same?

Which graco do you have? I had a mirage and an original buggy board (still have it actually!) and yes it all folded up & fitted in my boots with the buggy board on.

they clip on to catch things which you permanently attach to the pram, it is really easy to clip on and clip off. You can not fold up the pram with the board attached, well, you can't with a maclaren anyway, as it folds from side to side, but I guess you could if your buggy folded back to front. However, it would be much easier to just unclip it. There is a simple catch which you put on your pram which holds the buggy board up when you don't need it, but ime it falls down a lot when going down bumps etc.

there are 3 types of lascal buggyboard, only the maxi is current with replacement parts available. I think you may well be able to fold the quattro with it still attached.

mad4mybaby · 02/12/2008 20:38

which website would you buy from? Are you able to fix it to pram to see what its like then take if off no probs just in case it was no good for whatever reason?

no idea, I would just buy one 2nd hand & make sure the connector straps haven't been cut. Look on ebay for one local enough to collect?

mad4mybaby · 02/12/2008 21:04

so is lascal the only 'make'?

There are other makes, there's a toddler seat thingie, too. You really need to check carefully exactly what will fit onto your pram/buggy.

mad4mybaby · 02/12/2008 21:25

i have no idea where to begin....help! which ones are the best?

I found Lascal is very good, no experience of any others. Main thing is figuring out what fits onto your buggy. Plus, will your child actually use it? Absconders don't cooperate, ime.
