I was wondering this last winter and found these ...

www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/detailfash.php?type=FASH&code=A8978&proddesc=Long+Cotton+Non-Slip+Rich+Socks &supercategory=&branch=&wcategory=&catdesc=&treecode=TRE00009

But, Jojo's normal socks actually come up quite long too. BTW I've found their sizing comes up rather large.

Hope that helps.

My DD has navy blue knee socks from M&S - they would be fine for a boy too

Thanks. Will get some.

Vertbaudet sell long socks for boys and so do Tchibo from time to time
You can also get well-priced thick knee-length hiking-socks for boys from Sainsburys

I have some brown and some oatmeal (cream) long socks for boys you are more than welcome to have. They are cotton though and not very warm.

thenewme · 01/12/2008 18:57

Thank you but it is bitterly cold so I need warm ones for him.

Our local prep school uniform for boys is shorts and long socks, I'm sure others are the same. Have you tried school uniform shops?

scrooged · 01/12/2008 19:00

ds's old socks were for a prep. They are all cotton and I used to send him in 2 pairs at a time.

if they are to be worn with shoes then i have sometimes put older childs / ladies socks on my 2.9 year old, and although the heel is half way up his leg it doesn't matter as he is wearing long trousers or jeans. Also I let him wear navy tights .

BabyLegs or similar? They're supposed to be really stretchy and your DS might enjoy the funky patterns!
