Anywhere any good to buy beds? Either online or in store?

So many companies crashing at the moment I need recommendations.

I am after 2 single beds , one with a pull out guest bed and one with drawers/storage. either want a divan style or the kids room has white toungue and groove on the doors so something that would fit in with that.

Has to be John Lewis, really!

What about this
We have a very similar one and it's great. You can use it as a sofa, sleep on it as a single bed or pull out the section where the drawers are to turn it into a kingsize. Plus the drawers are very spacious. The colour and design might work well with your kids room.
You would have to buy 2 single mattresses separately from IKEA but I don't think they are too expensive. We just got bog standard foam ones since it's only a guest bed.

I liked that one April but it looks quite bulky in RL and the room isn't that big :-(

Is it possible to put it together without the back piece on? That might help?

We have it in quite a small room and it doesn't look bulky exactly because you can make it look really pretty with cushions and nice bedspread but I think it is longer than an average single bed. It is huge when pulled out into a kingsize though and in our room there's barely any room to walk around it then. I don't think it would work without the back bit it sort of looks like you need that to keep it sturdy iykwim.
Before we bought it I went to IKEA and had a good look at it and took photos and measured it myself, then I went home and made a kind of cardboard shape outline of it so I could see how big it really was. I know that sounds mad but these things often look much smaller when you see them in a giant warehouse/showroom!

We bought a great white wooden bunkbed from www.limelightbeds.co.uk/, they delivered quickly and on time. Lots of choice on their site

I actually thought it looked quite big in IKEA! Its the back on it though that makes it visually take up space rather than physically! Will look next time we go, its not exactly handy but we aren't any that much of a rush!

I know what you mean about the visual space. I think it just happens to work quite well in our room because the room is square rather than rectangular, if that makes sense. Good luck anyway!
