Dad loves liquorice so i want to get him some for Christmas.
Got some one year from a site called Mrs Browns (i think). but can't find it now.

Any recommendations for a good online sweet shop with varieties of liquorice?

Would your dad like Peppermint and liquorice tea?

Me? I love Sherbet fountains, Catherine wheels, Blackcurrant and liquorice hard boils, soft organic liquorice from the Health Food shop (can't recall the brand name), and that tea!!!!

A Quarter Of does v good service as well. I've had some lovely things from there

EffiePerine · 29/11/2008 21:21

Can you have liqourice tea when pg though?

Klaw · 29/11/2008 21:53

EffiePerine, I really don't know. Googling makes me think that pure Liquorice should be avoided but I'm not sure if the odd cup of tea is to be avoided. Obviously most of us would abstain if in any doubt.

Liquorice has so many benefits otherwise, it's great!

A very useful chart on another forum says that liquorice is ok in moderation but not excess as it can exacerbate high blood pressure.

'All herbal preparations which are bought as tea bags from the supermarket are thought to be safe for use in pregnancy.'

And EVERYTHING in moderation

Well, that's £21 spent on sweets lol! Most of it for my dad.
