You do need big wheels, possible with most 3 wheelers (rubbish with zap or zia) but tricky if they are heavy. Used to run with m and p 03 sport but got too heavy when dd got bigger (started running again when she was 3 weeks old).

I have in an emergency when seriously late to do school run for my sister run back from town (3.9 miles) with the bugaboo but the small wheels kept catching on everything. Have also flipped over the handlebar to make big wheels at front and fixed small wheels, better but nothing like a 3 wheeler.

I bought a mothercare 3 wheeler from Lilypie and though a heavy buggy, great for running with!!!

I had a Nipper fixed wheel for running with. It was excellent. DD was very comfy in it, it lay flat so if she fell asleep when I was running, it was easy. The cosy toes is the fluffiest and warmest I've seen.
DD could fit in it comfortably at 3yrs old.
