We have a Victorian house- high ceilings, enormous single-glazed sash windows, boiler too small for the size house...get the idea. We already have a couple of oil-filled rads for extra heat in the upstairs loo (v important for dh in the morning when at his ablutions so his bits don't fall off ) abd a small sudy with no permanent rad. Nowwwwwww dd is complaining she is freezing all the time, and being 15 spends most of her time in her room. Anyone out there know of any better plug-in rads that can be left on i.e reeeeally cheap to run??

Halogen heaters are good and cheap to run. That is all the heating i have used up until tonight when i put the radiators on upstairs for DC.
