How long are stretchy wrap slings e.g. Kari-Me/Moby?

I recently bought a stretchy wrap sling (Tinokis) which I love but it is enormously long (about 7 or 8 metres) and I have to wrap the ends around myself several times.

Those with similar wraps - can you tell me how long they are? Are there any carrying positions that use more length?

I am thinking about reducing the length of the Tinokis by cutting a bit off both ends so it is more manageable to tie but don't want to if it means I can't use a different carry when ds is bigger!

I am a size 20 and even when I was a 22 I only needed a 5m wrap to do all carries, 7m sounds horrendous to ahdnle (not to mention hot)

I say Cut it!

I agree - they make them far too long.
Hugabub is 6m for example.
I use 4.6m and it does everything

Gosh, just noticed that, I meant handle, obviously!

Thanks for the replies - will definitely be trimming it but think I will wait until it has been washed in case there is any shrinkage. Just need to wait until it isn't in use for a bit (ds asleep in it at the mo!).

It isn't too hot as the ends are tapered and just wrapped around my hips a couple of times without being too bulky - but getting it on and off is a pain.
