Will DS1 need a 10" or 12" bike??

He's three and a half but reasonably small for his age. Don't want to order the 10" and then find it only lasts a couple of months. Anyone have any idea of how old they are before they've grown out of a 10"

its to do with height.
when sitting down, can he still put his feet on the floor?
i would take him with you to the shop and get him to try before you choose

Got DS a 12" one when he was 2.6. He is about average size for his age and we did have to have the saddle down as low as it went but he was fine.
We took him into Toys R Us and let him try out a few sizes before going off and getting a 2nd hand one - they are VERY helpful if they think you are going to buy

Ooo might have to tell DH to pop into tesco on his way home from work. I was goign to order one from Tesco direct but they're out of stock on everything!

Trying to keep it a secret from DS1 which is why we've not just been and tried one out. But if 12 inch was ok at 2.6 feetheart then I'm sure it will be fine for DS1.
