free spyware software?

I haven't got any spyware software on my PC and think I should proboably be installing it. I found the best antivirus to be Grisoft which is free?

Is there a similar product for spyware?

thanks sacha3taylor - but I just downloaded it and it said that I needed to pay for the version to reomve anything. Only the scan was free. Mind you it didn't seem to find anything too awful - only 73 cookies!

Is noadaware free? I find it really hard to find the prices on these sites. Don't really mind paying but want to be sure I'm paying for something good! IME shareware is ofter fab!

go to lavasoft and on the right hand side there is a "click here for free download!

Yup, Adaware from Lavasoft is about the best free one.

Katherine, Spybot Search and Destroy is fabulous

spybot S & D , recomended by Which, free, excellent. They also recommend ad-aware SE (does a different job)
