We're about to go on a loooong trip, thought 19m ds might like a little backpack to carry some of his toys and books in - can you recommend something bright and not too dear?

Or is he too little, d'you think? We'll have the push-chair so it can always go over the handles if he's riding.

Mum got T a thomas one from mothercare I think
It's tiny so only hold a few toys and a couple of books but of course he couldn't manage with much more and he loves it
unpack-repack-unpack-repack

lol at long journey - what an understatement!

I've been looking for exactly the same for DS. Def check Mothercare, but I found much cheaper in local pound stores, kids characters etc that perhaps aren't so fashionable, which I suspect your DS won't mind about at 19 months. Also spotted Bob the B ones in Matalan. All the climbing types companies sell them, blacks etc and there are very sweet, but more expensive tiny animal backpacks (ladybird, frog etc) that go on their backs and have reigns too!

Good luck with the journey. A mum who flies long haul a lot told me in the summer that small snacks and not big meals are the answer. they're always happy to eat and hever get full up so food is always a distraction.

found a Thomas one for £5 at Mothercare

our £ store's rubbish, bumbling - I haven't looked but don't need to. Possibly the only pound store in the world where you never want to buy anything!

Although they're a little pricey, the online store rock paper scissors has the cutest toddler-sized backpacks. I love the dinosaur one, but they also carry a shark one and a squirrel one. They're just the right size for wee ones.
