Thanks for this Yorkiegirl will tell Dh when he comes back on Friday. We have had ours for nearly 2 years and didn't know thats where it was - but in my defence I can't drive!!!

ROFL at crushed smoked marinaded janh! Sorry, I went off and asked DH to look for me (it's the old lady knees you know), he instantly forgot to do it and I instantly forgot all about it (it's the old lady brain you know)

Then had DS1's parents evening and then Jamie's school dinners and then DD1 rang to tell me YG was very concerned that I was stuck under the car forever, very funny, thank you!

(DH still hasn't looked so I hope you aren't all waiting to hear?)

Btw, it is rather hit and miss when you ring the number. I was told no on my first call and yes, absolutely on my second. Several friends have rung and have eventually been given a ref number for a free lock after saying that they would investigate further by contacting Watchdog if Vauxhall refused to give them a free lock. It took several minutes, apparently, to talk the advisors round to giving them a free lock. Good luck all!

Still waiting for DH to move the car and let me out...

He's been home all day and still hasn't looked - if he doesn't write something down he forgets it instantly and now he's gone out (hope he remembers the way home )

Has anyone had this done yet? anyone had any problems with their local dealers?
My dad went today to get his done for free, had an app booked, but they left him sitting round for four hours, then they 'lost' the car, and sent him round to try an find it in the pouring rain! I am livid, this is a disability car, my dad has MS and can hardly walk!!!!! He was pretty much told it was because he was not a paying customer!!!

Great, vici! My ILs have a mobility Zafira that they use for FILs wheelchair-bound sister (MIL is her designated carer), and have an appointment for Friday. Hope they don't get fobbed off! How ridiculous to do that to s/one who is disabled.

He has just called the head office and was told that the dealer needs to call there to check that the work is to be done before they go ahead, my dad's app was at 11am head office got the phone call at 3pm!!!!!!
So anyone having this done, pester about the phone call!! lol make sure they ring

Revive this thread. I still haven't got round to having the free lock fitted (we have no spare tyre as it was nicked don't know how long ago) - does anyone know how good the plastic lock they seem to be fitting for free is? Or is it better to have the metal (osprey or k) lock fitted?? Anyone?
