Hello,
I need advice and to hear about your experiences. I am planning to buy my LO an organic mattress. There are a few alternatives;
naturalmat
little green sheep
abaca
Any experience with any of those?

I have the natural coco mat - I bought the cot mattress pack plus an extra set of sheets and mattress protector.
It is great; the mattress seems to be very comfy and as DS gets extremely hot, I am very pleased indeed that I went the natural fibre route. The mattress protectors are fab, easily washable and protect properly.

Good choice, I would say (IMHO!)

I have the Little green sheep mattress, protector and sheets.

Very nice , thick and comfy mattress, but the sheets are not as thick as other organic ones (John Lewis i think).

I would prefered a fitted mattress protector though as this one can roll up a bit when putting fitted sheets on - but thats probably me being inept!

They had very good customer service when i contacted them and everything was nicely packaged.

I am so pleased with the mattress though as DD seems to spend most of her time sleeping face down, breathing into the mattress - its good to know that its nasty chemical free.

I bought my baby an Abaca mattress and the protector that they sell (Little Green Sheep). Fabulous customer service, great mattress. I think this is the only mattress with the Soil Association certification. The mattress has an organic cotton cover which is non-removable, hence the protector is essential.

Although I have organic sheets they're not as sliky smooth as high thread count percale sheets.

I've also discovered the most fantastic organic sleeping bags by a German company called Prolana (sold in this country). They are not padded but have various linings such as cotton velour, cotton plush etc, really luxurious.
