my parents want to get ds an i-pod shuffle for Christmas. We though speakers would be good for his bedroom but can anyone recommend speakers and is there a system which will also charge the shuffle?

Been looking around this afternoon online but baffled by all the different types of speakers. Also, whic is the 2nd genweration i-pod as this seems compatible with most things?

if you can afford them, bose are the best, they have bought out a new model of speakers and so the original one is going cheap, will find a link, hang on

The second generation shuffle is the one which looks like a wee clip on thing, I think.

I'm sure the first generation was long and rectangular and looked more like a pen stick.

Not sure about speakers how old is your ds?

Any 2.1 PC system is compatable.

fwiw we've just bought dd1 a shuffle from Apple, same price as Argos but you can get it engraved free. £32 for the 1GB free p+p

We then got the speakers from Amazon and headset.
