Peugeot Pepper Mills?

Are they worth it? DH nearly fell off his chair when I told him the price but I understand the mechanism's guaranteed for life. Is that true?

I've got a Peugeot pepper mill (and salt mill) that I've used for nearly 30 years and it is still fine. Don't know about the guarantee for life - and if I ever had a piece of paper with a guarantee it would have been lost over that period of time. I've also got a Marlux set that has been by my stove for 25 years and probably used more than the Peugeot set - and that one is still working.
Both were made in France.
