recommendations for a foldup pushchair, zia or zapp?

Have decided to buy a compact pushchair for boot of car and suspect it won't get used that often. Thought a zapp would be good but watched a couple in mothercare LOL and saw older children looked really uncomfortable in them because their legs seemed squashed up and couldn't dangle, is the zia about the same, I like the look of the P&T smart but can't find out if it's for sale soon, any further suggestions?

no to zapp! had one for six months and hated it all the way! tipped forwards and backwards with baby in it! total rubbish!

not a zap-really useless.not tried zia.how about maclaren?theyre fab-i know not all singing all dancing but reliable!

Never had any problem with the Zapp - and folds really small - small enough to put in the rear footwell of a Micra!

DS has grown out of his now, but at 3 I think he's too old to be in a buggy anyway.

yep i love my zapp ,had it just over a yr now,no problems at all may daughter was 18m (and big) when i bought it and we both love it lol.

I love my zapp dd2 is 22 months and sits comiftably in it, she rarely falls asleep if we're out and about but if she does I just roll up her muslin (with us at all times) or a jumper and place by her head. I was going to get a zia but kept reading reports about wheels falling off etc.

The only problem with the zapp is hanging shopping off handlebars if dd2 isnt in it (it tips) but on the whole we only use it for darting about.

Have a mclaren triumph but hate it as it doesnt sit upright enough for dd2 and I find it lumbersome topush after the zapp

I find the raincover on the zapp really annoying

held on (or not) buy the tiniest pieces of velcro ever... rediculouse

i dont have a raincover for mine (i have a waterproof cosytoe so never needed one)so i dont know about that, but my dd has slept a few times in hers no probs, also its really easy to push one handed which is handy if you have another dc.

I hated my Zapp with a passion. It doesn't tilt back so when the child goes to sleep their head rolls forward all the time. I'm only 5ft 6 but found it too short, felt hunched over it. It also tipped all the time, you couldn't hang shopping on it, aaarrghhh
Much preferred the Maclaren, the Micralite also seemed like a good, compact stroller and quite funky if you prefer something different.

I have the zia, and think it's great - although dd is only 5 mths at moment.
Not great if you like to hang loads of shopping on the back, but folds small, easy to push and dd seems v comfy.

I have a zia and like it lots - DS is 21 months and it is great as I can lay him flatter to sleep. Folds up small and the wheels come off to make it even smaller! Easy to push but handles are low - so if you are tall I would try it out first!
