Was thinking of buying this for dd for christmas but was wondering what others who already had it and children who had used it thought about it?

Is it worth it? it says age 4-8 dd is 3 but she is very forward do you think she would be able to do it?

It does look very easy to use and I cant see her having a problem with it.

However, if its anything like the leap pad its appeal may be short lived. DS loved it for a few weeks then got bored and its still sat in its bag with a pile of extra books etc.

ELC usually let you try things out, if you have one local you could pop in and see if it appeals to her.

I bought one for DD for christmas, however she is 4.5. I think 3 might be too young. I have downloaded the software all ready to go on Christmas day... It won't teach your child to read but helps them. They need to have a basic understanding and be able to recognise and read out letters phonetically to play the games in the book.

Thank you, thats a great help, i think i may leave it this year as she won't be able to do the games, i saw it on offer at woolworths for £27.99 and thought it was a good deal as they are £39.99.
