is it normall that the thing that you pull to to make the harness green is really stiff. i dont know weather it will loosen up or if i should take it back.

Ours is so stiff too and still so circa 8 months after purchase. Think it is meant to be though so that they can't get looser iykwim?

Hiya, Mine was also stiff at first but now it's better...it is still hard-ish to pull but there is a kind of technique...Basically it has to be pulled tight when I am standing over it (no way can do it if I am in the drivers seat and reach over to tighten) and it needs to be pulled in a certain direction - almost down and horizontal (can't quite explain, sorry).

I am very happy with the Tobi though so it never bothered me that much.

I'm about to buy this, I think. It gets really good reviews. Are you happy with it? I'm a bit clueless about the next stage seats. Infant carriers were so easy

Hi there,

I think they are great, just make sure it's a good fit in your car.

Doesn't have much of a recline but that never was an issue for my dd and she sleeps in it fine...she never has the "floppy head" syndrome that i see a lot of toddlers have when falling asleep in other car seats.

EyeballsintheSky · 09/11/2008 00:20

Ah, they tout it as having 5 recline positions (haven't actually tried it out yet, have been web researching before hitting the shops for a demo). DD always sleeps in the car.

lecohen · 09/11/2008 00:30

well...when you see it in the shop (i.e. not in a car), the recline looks quite good but the reality of it (in my car anyway...and my sis in law in her car as she has one too) is that the recline is not a great deal but sufficient.

It washes well too but the head bit can get faded. Think this may be a problem on most car seats though and doesn't bother me too much.
