These are alot cheaper than alot of the sprung...air flow, etc ones that are out there but are they safe?

I assume they are as they wouldn't be able to sell them if not??

am looking at this one

i cant say on safety-only that I decided it was ok for my third daughter. We bought a more expensive sprung one for DD2 and it was crap-very soft, she sank into it and after 2 years it was completely useless. We got a mothercare foam one with a zip-off washable cover and I much prefer it. It seemed to me that a firmer surface was safer for a baby of 2-3 months[when she went into a cot]. Two years later it is still in great condition and very clean thanks to the cover.

I've just had a mothercare foam one delivered today. I was so shocked at the price of those sprung-air-flow things! I think they prey on your insecurities and expect you to fork out more.

DD had foam and it was fine.

I used to turn hers every couple of months.

As far as I understand it they are the least safe option, but are approved.
