Phil and Ted's e3 - when can I use 2 toddler seats (not the lie back position)?
Pollyanna · 11/03/2005 13:52
Does anyone know when you can use 2 toddler seats rather than using the baby seat fully reclined? It says 6 months on the buggy, but that seems a long time - do you think it would be ok once the baby can hold her head up? Thanks.

yup. DS was too long for the lie down position at 13 weeks - so we popped him in the back seat with a head hugger. He was fine once he got used to it.

We're in the same position, she is too long for the lie down seat now, but seems awfully small to be sitting up in the back seat (although she can hold her head up). Has anyone else put their baby in the toddler seat before 6 months?

We put dd2 in the front seat when she was about 4 months old and dd1 who was 2 went in the back seat.

hi
three friends i have that have them have all put there kids in the back seat before 6mths. seems to be nearer 3 or 4 months. my ds2 is 17 wks and am nearly at the point of needing to put him in the back seat so will try a head hugger with him. the other thing you can do is to put your baby in a baby byorn (spelling?!) for a bit until you're happy to put him in the seat. the front seat with the zips undone is def. fine for a baby at 3 /4months but haven't tried that with someone in the back seat too! may not fit.

DS2 definately went in sitting up from 3/4 months, it was the depths of winter so he was 'supported' by the cosy toes to some extent.

My daughter at 20 months goes in the newborn bit.
she likes it and her feet still don't poke out the end.

since i wrote my last message i've used ours for both in more upright position. i've put ds2 (4mths) in front seat with zips undone so he's more reclined and ds1 in back seat. he doesn't seem to mind having the seat above him skimming his head!
