i initially only wanted oilcloth type stuff (practical to the end, me) but i know i can buy that clear plastic stuff on a roll from john lewis, so i can use any fabric i like, and put the clear stuff over it for use.
SO where can i see a big selection of fabrics (i think linen for tablecloth??)
the stuff at john lewis was a bit twee, a lot of it.

I got a nice oil cloth fabric from John Lewis. What sort of thing do you wnat? Cath Kidston nice, but definitely not to everyone's interior design taste.
There are a couple of nice independent fabric stockists near me, do you have anything simiar?

The big dunhelm Mill stores have fabric on a roll.

And do you have a local market. Not only cheap but you will probably get a huge choice.

When I needed a large tablecloth for a one off occasion, I bought a cheap plain bedsheet?

RainbowChaser · 01/11/2008 14:31

Agree with DoNot - I get mine from market stalls very cheap.
