can I ask a dim question about DS games please?

if Santa was to bring DSes for the DDs this year, so that they can play games against each other, does each DS need to have a game cartridge? So I Santa needs to get them both the same games?

It depends on the games. Some you both need a cartridge and others you don't. It does tell you on the back of the game, on the top right hand side.

I think there is A Thing you can copy DS games onto, so your DDs could play together.

However, it's probably illegal and I can't remember what it's called. I read about it in the Indie... ah, here

DH Santa has got me a DS for Christmas. I am very excited as I am totally untechnical and rubbish as shooty blasty smack em up games but there's loads of other types of games out there for prople like me
