grandparents would like to lavish a big garage on ds for Christmas - any ideas on a really good one that lasts, both physically and in popularity with dcs please?

Thanks

GLTC do a fab one.

moodlumthehoodlum · 27/10/2008 18:16

the plastic fantastic one from elc is great and has lasted for several years. but, depending on the age of your ds, I would either go for the GLTC one, which is by Pintoy, or a mahoosive wooden one from elc.

Can you tell this is my current specialist subject

compo · 27/10/2008 18:17

mine love the elc, brightly coloured one with magnetic cars
what age are your dcs?
think this one is 18months to 3 yrs although 4.5 ds still plays with it

nappyaddict · 27/10/2008 18:21

oh the garage town i was referring to on this page seems to have been discontinued.

TheWheelsOnTheBusHaveFallenOff · 27/10/2008 18:24

thanks! he has just turned 18 months but loves playing with garages, kitchens etc - so only issue is not having very small parts as he still puts most things in his mouth at some point.

anyone tried Plan Toys? just looked on their website, garage looks okay but the blurb is a bit worthy!

for 18m old would certainly recommend the lovely chunky plastic elc compo recommends my 2.9yr old and 15m old play daily with this (ds2 got for 1st xmas fab present as still played with daily nearly 2yrs later!)

Definitely the ELC one. DS had one and loved it. HE now has 'the next size up' version.
He loves that too!

Plonker · 28/10/2008 23:27

Another vote for the ELC one
