I want to know the answer to this too. I am a bit at the self cleaning bit. But stand to be corrected.

I was just looking into paint pods yesterday as I've got a lot of painting to do - the reviews I found weren't good so I'm not getting one.
It said they're very messy, the paint is thin and it's nowhere near as good as it looks in the advert. I'll stick to rollers!

They were selling initially for 100 euro and in our B&Q this wknd they are 47 eoro so I'm a tad too.

Bad reviews here

mynameis · 27/10/2008 17:12

We bought one on Saturday as they were down to £34 in B&Q, well actually we bought two as the first one didn't work but I am a convert it is really easy to use and the paint at £30 for 5L was only about £2 more expensive than buying the tins. Paint maybe a bit thinner but I don't decorate often enough to tell for sure

LazyLinePainterJane · 27/10/2008 17:21

They look like the sort of thing that uses five times as much paint as needed and then never gets used again.

akhemsProjectilePeaSoup · 27/10/2008 17:22

I bought one of these bck in the summer, we've not used it yet tho... I was wonderng whether normal paint could be adapted to be used in it and reusing one of the paint containers?

AmIWhatAndWhy · 27/10/2008 17:23

Why solve a problem that never needed to be solved?

Either get the rollers out and do the work or get the painters in.

Mhamai · 28/10/2008 22:44

Jeez, MichaelfckinAngelo was busy this wknd............Ah well, sht happens!

ohdearwhatamess · 29/10/2008 16:34

I didn't get on with it and reverted to bog standard rollers and brushes.
