Are those ROM/chip/card thingies with 4 billion games on for DS's any good, or a big con?

I have one. They are illegal though. I think they're good though.

i havent got around to buying one yet,but a few friends have them and think they are great.

They are totally legal to own - unless of course you download games off t'internet

If you mean an R4 card.. they are excellent.

they aren't illegal (afaik) and are very easy to get hold of. though not sure about the downloading bit.. mine came already laoded up with everything I asked for (so I can only assume it was all bought & oaid for)

You can hold about 24 games in them so brill for travelling as don't have to take any other cartridges

ds1 bought one with his own money. At the time we didn't realise it was illegal.

I'm not really happy about the legality situation, but it's tricky given that he saved up and spent his own money on it. So I turn a blind eye to it.
