If so, do you like it?

Anybody bought one on line?

Tia

Do you mean a fire and suround? I bought a "set" from Homebase online. Ireally like the surround but dislike the electric fire. It wasn't expensive and I ended up selling the fire and replacing it with a gas one!

FimboGotAxed · 19/10/2008 15:33

Yes that's what I mean. I am scared to buy it on-line incase I do indeed hate it but it would be the easy and cheapest option. We don't intend to stay in this house forever and I am loathed to spend a fortune on a "focal point".

The problem with electric fires is that they do look a bit fake, so if you can spend the extra ££ on a more realistic looking one.

I think ours was about £180 from homebase to include firesurround and fire but as I say, the fire looked a bit crap.

zippitippitoes · 20/10/2008 13:26

apparently it is very good and selling like hot cakes

i am thinking of getting one

but i admit i have a persuasive person suggesting it as my dd1 bf is marketing it lol

MamaG · 20/10/2008 14:04

bumping for fimbo - have seen you

FimboGotAxed · 20/10/2008 14:07

I do like the look of that Zipp but I live in a new build and it would be a bit odd I think. Although dh would love it, I think.

Dh hates electric fires but doesn't want to spend £££££ on a gas one.

Thank you both.

I think this would look good in a new build

FimboGotAxed · 20/10/2008 14:25

I do like that MamaG.

But this is the one I want.

Did you know Homebase and Argos are the same place?

oh now that is lovely. I have similar in gas

I think if you can afford that, then it would look gorgeous and not cheap at all. The one I bought and hated was VV cheap compared to that.

MamaG · 20/10/2008 14:26

and yes, I did know - odd eh?

FimboGotAxed · 20/10/2008 14:28

I want to see it in rl. Dh thinks it expensive for a feature. But I want it

IMO what you have got to think about is this: is it a house for life? Or at least a very long time? If yes, then I think you should get it. (can you see it in rl?) - nothing worse than sitting staring at something you bought to "put you on" and hating it

ooh look at this

MamaG · 21/10/2008 14:22

oh where teh heck is Fimbo!!

FimboGotAxed · 21/10/2008 14:29

Oh blimey that is the one. Sadly I don't live in Yorkshire and its gas.

MamaG · 21/10/2008 14:30

FimboGotAxed · 21/10/2008 14:34

I love it, because the horseshoe shape is all black. I want it. Dh's work has an office in York - i think I will move
