Nintendo ds games for 3.5 year old

I wouldn't normally consider a game console for ds who is only 3.5 BUT firstly we have two 9 hour flights coming up and secondly I am looking for an excuse to buy one as I want one!!!

So my question: which games are good for this age group?

I don't want anything even mildly violent or that moves very, very quickly.

Have seen Postman Pat game online and that looks nice, plus 'I did it mum' - would they be a good combination??

Or is it all a bit of a waste of money?

My DD likes Cooking Mama, the Postman Pat game and a horsey one a friends DD had.

What do they actually do in Cooking mama saggy?

Anyone else other suggestions?

You choose a recipe, like say pasta and a sauce, so they tip the pasta into the pan and you have to stir it and turn the heat up and down. Chop up onions, tip in herbs, salt/pepper, chop up the meat and then add things to the pan. You use the stylus to stir/chop, there are different recipes so you might be making dough and rolling it etc. It is fun!

Oh I think he'd really like that given he's a Big Cook Little Cook fan!
