now my ds1 has started school, my 22 month ds2 has had to get use to travelling in the car every day and waiting while i take and collect ds1 (have tried bringing him into school, but i'm 8 months pregnant and he gets really upset about being whisked out of car, into school and then back into car seat again)
has anyone get any ideas how to keep him occupied?

My ds spends a lot of time in the car with us, we live quite far from work. If you sit next to him while you wait for your other ds, you can give him a juice box or snacks, or read a book together.

i have to spend a lot of time on the car too, i splashed out on a dvd player that you plug into the cigarette lighter. they can come with a wee pouch and you sling it on the back of the seat in front, nice and small and works WONDERS

Yes second the songs suggestion - we play a CD of nursery rhymes
