Maclaren Techno XT versus Silver Cross Pop

Looking for an umbrella fold pushchair for 3 month old baby.

Have just had delivered Maclaren Techno XT, but looks very big now home.

Had thought about the Silver Cross Pop but had heard that the brakes are positioned on rear wheels and some people find that they catch when going down curbs.

Any one any opinions or advice?

Would you recommend the silver cross pop, or are the brakes really too much hassle?

Also is the blossom pattern on the pop too pink for a boy? (have found one reduced, but only that pattern).

Thank you!

never tried pop but love the xt

I have had both and would stick with the XT if I were you, will last you for longer as it is larger.
I did not find the brakes were the main problem on the Pop, just the fact that it was harder to push and felt cheap by comparison, also, you can't take the seat off and put it in the washing machine and in my experience, that is essential. It is also smaller, so won't last well in to todderhood like the XT.

HTH.

i think i would rather have an xt over a pop too xx

The Pop is heavier to push and less maouverable (sp?). I had the same debate last year. Got a v. good quality 2nd hand XT from EBay in the end and very happy with it.

An XT every time, IMO you can't beat them for a stroller type pushchair.

brilliant -glad you all agree! will stick with the xt in that case.

thank you all v much for taking the time to post, much appreciated.
