Google isn't being much help. I know you're supposed to keep the original packaging but who has the space?

Alternatively, does anybody know how to pack a computer without the proper packaging? With bubble wrap and cardboard and stuff.

When I had to courier a computer I went to a branch of Mailboxes Etc. I was completely wowed by their no-fuss attitude and they were able to very safely package my computer (in this case a laptop, and they charged £5 and did it all for me).

They use all the courier services and know all the pricing structures etc so suggest the most suitable for your needs. They also sell the packaging materials if you want to do it yourself - and presumably would advise which materials were best.
