What sort of electric rice cooker do you have, and is it any good?

Thinking about buying one as we cook a LOT of rice, and it's a bit hit and miss in the taste & texture department.

A cheap ons from Argos....cookworks I think. It's fine, always get nice fluffy rice.

i've been told that cheap or expensive, they are all pretty equal. we're on our second in 1o yrs. worth the money

Thanks very much for that. The cookworks one in Argos is half-price at the moment, so might pop in tomorrow.

Got one today, used it tonight, lovely fluffy rice first time.

Now the only thing is to correctly work out the quantity. I cooked enough for at least two adults, when I actually wanted two small portions for the DS's. Wonder if it could do that?

When I'm cooking rice for myself & 2 dc I do 2 adult portions....I've never tried altering the amount. You can always freeze cooked rice.
