Baby Carrier for a 4 Month Old

Hi, I have a basic baby carrier that you can have facing you or outwards from 4 months. Dd doesnt look comfy in it facing me now but Im sure I want her facing out yet as she does tend to fall asleep in it.

Im on a tight budget but want something she will be happy in facing me for a few more months. Was thinking about a sling? Any recommendations? Budget of up to £30. Thanks.

Get a wrap sling, if you can cope with the wrapping! Lots of second hand ones for sale at ukbabywearingswap or rumplebums, that will come in under £30, and some new ones too I think - I have a Calin Bleu gauze that was around that I think. STRONGLY recommend it, though might be worth trying one out to see if you like it - look for a slingmeet near you.

Thanks littlefrog, I will have a look. I am up for a bit of effort to put it on if dd is comfy. With bad weather setting in I figure it would be nicer for her to be close to me then in a drafy pram.

A MeiTai might be a good option to look at too - a bit of an easier learning curve than wrapping. But check out the Yahoo ukbabywearingswap group for loads of second hand ones

I love my Close sling- ds is 18 weeks and it's still very comfy for me and him. They are £50, but you can get a 10% discount from this site. Might be worth looking out for a second hand one?

I used wraps from three months till very recently, she tries to climb out now!

I have some spares, jersey and fleece if you want one, I've used both right up till the last time I carried her. You can have one for £25 with p&p if you want one.

Thanks for the offer TinkerBellesMum but I ordered a sling from Ebay last night.
