my current straighteners, four years old, dont seem to be doing a proper job. takes a good twenty minutes, but they still dont give as sleek a look as when friend uses ghd's on myhair. is that becuase:
my straighteners have practically died?
or
i dont know how to use them properly and if friend used mine, she would still get the sleek look on my hair.

plus, dh will be furious if i do buy something so obviously for me and not the household/kids etc.

If you don't buy them though your hair will never be sleek and shine like the sun.

I have had mine for years and years now and they really are the bees knees.
