Do Tena Lady pads work effectively as sanitary towels too?

The kind of question Mumsnet was invented for! First period for 2 years started this morning. Pelvic floor still rubbish and only have "normal" Tena Lady in. What do you think?

Oh good! that'll save me a trip to the shops then. I know san pads dont work well instead of tena pads thats for sure.
