If you have an extendable fireguard like clippasafe or mothercare

can you please tell me if it can be made smaller than 94cm wide? the measurements say from 94 to 152 cm, but I would need it to be 92cm or less.

Any wiggle room at all in those measurements?

Thanks!

Mines 94cm - the fireguard is in two sections that you move together/apart to get the right size, then screw together. Each half is about 94cm across the front, so you cant make it shorter unless you cut the metal and do something to make the sharp edges safe.

Hi, i have one of those from Mothercare and have just measured for you.
Each 'half' is 83cms wide, so if you pushed one end right inside the other you would have just over that i guess.
I can't see why it wouldn't work like that unless anyone else see a problem?

Thanks ever so much for responding! I need it to fit inside the fireplace alcove around the stove, rather than outside. So kind of you to measure! Thanks!

just be careful as you cant have them closer than 30cm from the heat source!
