And, if so, can you recommend a place for me to get one/some from?

TIA?

Do you been those vacuum bags? If so, I've tried some with valves for your hoover but they were crap, whereas the ones from M&S (I think they might call them duvet storage bags...) where you just have to whip the hoover nozzel out quickly and seal it up in a flash, have been genius. We have a very damp cellar and nothing in them has gone mouldy in over two years.

They're not very neat though - they vacuum down to very odd, lumpy shapes!

We got some from www.aplaceforveerything.com

Very useful - am currently storing 3 double duvets and a load of pillows under our bed! It takes a bitof practice to get them neatly compressed, though.

We got the vacuum ones from Lakeland. They are great if a bit pricey. They have a round plastic valve which you close immediately you take hoover out. Tried some from John Lewis but they weren't as good.

I got mine in Woolworths, cant remember the brand, they re-inflated themselves fairly soon after.

ComeOVeneer · 11/10/2008 11:03

Yes as long as you get good quality ones and you don't let your cats near them!

Lilymaid · 11/10/2008 11:10

Lakeland - have had ours for several years for storing duvets and they still work fine.

Snowstorm · 11/10/2008 19:47

Great - thank you for all that everyone.

There has to be a market for knickers/control pants along the same lines surely

AnybodyHomeMcFly · 11/10/2008 19:56

We got good ones from Ikea and crap ones from eBay. Been very useful (the good ones obv!) as we've been able to store DS's baby clothes and my maternity clothes in our damp cellar without it going off at all.

Got some from Lakeland a few years ago and they were fab. Got some more from Lakeland w/in the last 12-18 mths (they're stll selling that brand, Packmate, I think) and they're useless ... they're full of air after a couple of days. Sent them back once and the replacement was the same so won't bother with those particular ones again. In theory they're great though !
