Recommendations for vacuum cleaner

Hi,

We have a dyson but it seems to have reached the end of its age, as it just doesn't seem to pick up anything from the carpet.

I don't really want to spend more than £100-130 (and hopefully less!) - could anyone recommend a vacuum cleaner in this range? In particular i lose a lot of hair and one that is effective of picking up my long hair from the carpet would be great.

The Miele cat and dog hoover is very good at picking up hair, and I really like mine.
