Do any of you have any and are they really good? Are they really much cheaper to run than a tumble drier?

I don't know anything about these but my MIL says this idea has been around for donkeys years.

When she was a child her mother bought one of these from a small ad in the back of the newspaper (or something). It was a wooden clothes maiden which fitted over the top of a little fan heater and then covered by a zipped canvas cover.

They nicknamed it 'The Hooded Terror'.

Sorry, not v helpful but had to share.

LOL at the hooded terror. What could possibly be so terrible about it?

I'm just wondering if they are cheaper than a tumble drier.
